Cinderella's Closet Princess Referral Process

Cinderella’s Closet Northeast Ohio is honored to help high school students feel confident and beautiful on their prom night. Our dresses and accessories are gifts from our community, provided at no cost to students who may not otherwise have the resources to purchase a prom dress.

Who Qualifies?
Any high school girl currently enrolled and attending High School that is in need of a dress. Cinderella’s Closet does not require proof of financial need, just your referral.

Princess Referral Procedure

  1. Complete the following Online Princess Referral form; or contact Cinderella's Closet on Facebook Messenger to request an appointment time. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Cinderellas-Closet-Northeast-Ohio/1537587... .
  2. Appointments will be made on the hour for the day/time listed on the form.
  3. We will contact the student with a confirmed appointment time and an appointment certificate.
  4. Please note each Princess must bring a valid student ID or letter on official school letterhead stating that they are currently enrolled as a high school student. Please understand without proof of grade and enrollment, we cannot keep their appointment. Each Princess must also bring her appointment certificate signed by a parent/guardian giving her permission to visit Cinderella’s Closet and Cinderella’s Closet permission to photograph the experience. Photo release exceptions can be made, if necessary.
  5. We make a commitment to you that each girl you refer will be treated with kindness and respect from each volunteer the moment she enters Cinderella’s Closet. She will not only leave with a beautiful prom or homecoming dress, but also with a renewed confidence in herself.

Princess referrals can be made ONLY by High School Guidance Counselors, Youth Services Counselors, Churches, Social Care Agencies, and Parents/Guardians. Princesses must be currently enrolled & attending High School.

Referrals for Prom 2021 will benefit from early application submission and providing their information early may help secure our assistance for the upcoming year.

All efforts will be made to accommodate your request; however we cannot guarantee the time slot requested will be available. Please plan on your appointment lasting a full hour.

Referral Information

You will be contacted by email to confirm your appointment. A Confirmation Certificate will be emailed to you to give to your referral explaining the process and stating the confirmed appointment time. Please note each Princess must bring a valid student ID or letter on official school letterhead stating that they are currently enrolled as a high school student. Please understand without proof of grade and enrollment, we cannot keep your appointment. All information is private and can be accessed only by authorized Cinderella's Closet members.
